I called from New Mexico on a Saturday afternoon in March to send my mom a last minute get well basket. They said they could accommodate me and asked me how much I'd like to spend. I said I couldn't afford much, less than $50 - maybe something in the $20 to $30 range. They said their minimum was $40 plus a $10 delivery charge. They were within a mile of my mom's house, and apparently weren't so busy that they couldn't squeeze me in but rather than try to accommodate me by working with me and finding something a little less expensive to put together, they turned down my business. Guess business must be so good on the cape in the off season that they can turn away customers. So I called someone else, Amy White's Flowers in Harwichport, who gladly took my business and accommodated me by offering me something starting at $25. We settled on a basket arrangement of spring flowers at $35 plus a $5 delivery charge. I'll remember that the next time I need flowers in the Harwich area. Thanks, Amy!
