Powderhouse Laundry

Sign inside the laundromat reads closes at 8 pm - sign on the door reads closes at 6 pm. I arrive at 5:30 pm and by 6 pm have my clothes half dry. The manager who was absent all this time shows up at 6 pm and chases me out of the laundromat with my moist clothes, "we close at 6 pm!". He had an commitment elsewhere and was quite perturbed. He had to get on the phone and apparently apologized to someone. Well, how about getting someone to cover your shift! Closing times for a laundromat should mean the start time unless otherwise specified. Rude manager, and misleading signage! if I weren't a visitor from out of town, I'd look for another laundromat. The shop earns a star as it was reasonably clean and the machines in working condition.

Fairly clean. Smallish. Machines work. They have small top loaders unlike alot of places and bigger machines also. Convenient if in this area as theres not much else. Guy who runs it can be cranky..or whatever but he usually just sits in his open closet sized office watching something on tv. Its ok in a pinch or if you are in the area.
