Volante's simply has the best homegrown tomatoes, lettuce and corn you can find in the summer. I was amazed to find so many beautiful varieties of lettuce in the summer, and the quality is amazing. It's a drive for me but worth the trip.
Great sandwiches and bakery selections as well as fresh and local groceries. While the prices are a bit high, the quality makes up for it.
I am extremely disappointed in my first visit to Volante Farms. I was early to a babysitting gig, so decided to stop in to see if I could find a Mother's Day gift. I was browsing through the store, found a bottle of wine that I thought might be nice for my mom, but decided against it last minute and put it back. When I exited the store, I was questioned about if I was forgetting to pay for something. I said no and proceeded to walk outside through the flower section because my mom really loves flowers. After deciding I could not afford the flower selection, I started walking towards my car. I was yet again stopped by an employee, asking where the bottle of wine was that I was walking around with, my response being that I put it back. I am glad I did not buy my Mother's Day gift here. I highly doubt the employees treat every customer the way they did to me and I will never be returning. While this place was cute and alluring from the outside - which is why I pulled in in the first place - never judge a book by its cover. Never have I felt so stereotyped and disrespected.
