Last Monday, July 17, I went to Prime Toyota of Boston since I had a check engine light on my 2016 Toyota Sienna. I did not have a service appointment which I mentioned to the service writer. He told me that I had to leave my Sienna for the day and it would cost $120 for a diagnosis on the check engine light. I told him that this Sienna is a Toyota Associate Lease and the dealership would be reimbursed for any cost related to the repair of the van. He insisted that I have to pay first & I can ask Toyota to reimburse me back. I thanked the service writer and left this dealership. I went to the next dealership which was Toyota of Wellesley. I explained to the service writer, Holly Brugliera that I did not have an appointment & told her what the check engine light on my Sienna. She told me that they can look into that and asked for my keys. After 30 minutes, she came to me and said that their is more to just the engine light and they would have to do a thorough diagnosis. I also mentioned to her that we are from out of town just visiting and that I work for Toyota Financial. She said no problem and she offered me a rental car (Camry) to drive around instead of waiting in the dealership. This dealership was very cordial and Holly updated me on everything that was going on with my van. I would recommend this dealership if you're buying a Toyota. The service after the sale was outstanding. Thank you Holly and Justin.
