As You Like It Hair Salon

I would have loved to give “As You Like It Hair Salon” 5 stars. First, I would like to say the many wonderful experiences I have had with “As You Like It Salon!” My daughter had her hair and makeup done at “As You Like It Salon” on Prom day and they did the most wonderful job. Her hair was to die for and her make up was impeccable! They made her feel like a princesses and we could have not been happier with the beautiful work they did! I was impressed at how they handled at least 50 girls for Prom. They did not rush or do a simple hair style just to keep the packed salon moving along. The stylist spent time and care making sure each girl got the hair style and makeup look to make their prom night perfect. Excellent job ladies and I would recommend anyone looking for a place to take their daughter to get hair and makeup for prom to go to “As You Like It Salon!” Now to the very disappointing part about “As You Like It Salon” that can be fixed. The week before prom, I took my daughter to get highlights for the first time to “As You Like It Salon.” Since my daughter had never had highlights before she was a bit nervous and skeptical about how about how they would come out. My daughter loved the end result and her hair came out beautiful. When it came time to pay, I was very upset and surprised because they charged me to wash and dry her hair. This Is where I had a huge problem although I did not say anything at that time because it was my daughter’s birthday and I did not want to embarrass her however, the practic is where I had a huge problem although I did not say anything at that time because it was my daughter‘s birthday and I did not want to embarrass her. Highlights are expensive and I have had them done many times however in the 25 years I have been getting my hair done, I never paid an additional price to have my hair washed and dryed. The charged $30 to wash and dry my daughter’s hair. For $155.00 for highlights how could you possibly think that it is appropriate to change to wash her hair. That is included in the highlights at every other salon I have ever been to. So in “As You Like It Hair Salon” eyes after they take the foils out of your hair and the product is still in it, you should get up leave rush home to wash out the product?! I paid the $30 but, I left very disappointed that they would charge to wash out the product’s left in. This is a poor practice and should be resolved. My daughter and I loved the highlights but, unless they change there policy of charging an extra $30 to wash out the product, I will never take her back to get her highlights done again. It is very sad because the stylist was great, her hair looked beautiful but, I felt that if you list a price for highlights, that should include removing the product from the hair. I would happily give “As You Like It Salon” 5 stars if they would either list removing of product from Hair is an additional $30 or doing the right thing and charge the price that is listed. I would appreciate if the owner would please contact me and resolve this situation.

Love it, Jen always cuts and colors my hair and she does just what I ask her to do! She always makes my brows look good, not too thin, she is friendly and the staff is always nice.
