When not tending to the needs of grieving families, H&C opens its doors to host many town events — concerts, school tours, trips for seniors, a visit with Santa, and, of course, the annual Turkey Trot. When I think of H&C, I think community. Jim and John are amazing stewards of the historic Sumner House and so generously share it with the town. Their talented staff takes a most difficult time and makes it a memorable celebration of a life. If you have ever attended a wake at H&C, you soon realize this is not a job for Jim and John, but a life vocation.
